notebook fever

Months ago I came across a random reddit post in a pocket notebook subreddit about someone making their own books out of basic supplies. It sent me down a rabbit hole and eventually gave me an idea: 

Make a set of custom notebooks for my wife, for our anniversary. I've been pouring over youtube videos and read up on different techniques since then. 

To date I've spent three weekends practicing and I've made significant progress. I'm almost ready to make "the real deal". 

I just need a little more time between now and September.
